Sussex has it all. . .

Lewes, the fascinating county town of East Sussex, is packed with traditional and contemporary shops, secondhand book stores, art galleries, antique and junk shops. For history enthusiasts, there's Lewes Castle, Anne of Cleeves House and Lewes Priory. The famous Harveys Brewery sits beside the River Ouse where they have been brewing since 1790.

Sussex has wonderful places to visit. There are National Trust properties and gardens: Alfriston Clergy House, Bateman's (home of Rudyard Kipling), Bodiam Castle, Monk's House, Nymans, Sheffield Park Garden and Wakehurst Place. There's also Borde Hill Gardens, Great Dixter, Michelham Priory and Charleston, home of the Bloomsbury set.

For opera lovers there's Glyndebourne; for train lovers the Bluebell Railway and Lavender Line and for a family day out don't miss the wonderful Drusillas zoo. And then there's the coastline... miles of famous sights. Walk the amazing Seven Sisters between Beachy Head and Cuckmere Haven. Or visit Brighton's beaches, pier, Royal Pavilion and famous lanes.
